SMILING

Finally a picture of EMMIE SMILING. She smiles all the time and it's so fun.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Christmas was great - We were home together as a family. The girls got what they wanted and we just enjoyed eachother.

Nativity Scene

Every year on Christmas Eve our girls act out the nativity scene. This year we had the donkey (Shem), Joseph (Abbie), Mary (Maddie), and baby Jesus (Emmie). They love to do this.

SHEMS BIRTHDAY

Shems birthday is Christmas Eve. This year we celebrated with a famliy party. These are some pictures of Shem over the years. Happy Birthday to an amazing husband and awesome dad.

DANCE

These are pictures of the girls at their dance performance. They looked so cute and they did a great job on their dances.

FIRST SNOW

We just got our first big snow storms of the year. The girls have been praying for snow and it finally came. We got just enough to play in and build a snowman.

Two months!

How the time flies - Emmie was two months old yesterday. I took her to the doctor today for her appiontment. She weighs ten pounds and she's twenty two and a half inches long. Yeah for us we have a kid that's normal size. I tried to get a picture of her smiling but no luck - maybe some other time.

CHRISTMAS IS COMING!

THANKSGIVING was great - but who doesn't love food and tons of it. Now on to shopping and being at Walmart at 3AM. We always decorate our house for Christmas the day after Thanksgiving. This year we had an extra tree, so we let our girls have their own tree to decorate downstairs. They were so excited to put the ornaments on. We decorate early to help get our family in the spirit of Christmas. I love this time of year and the feeling of peace it brings. We focus alot on the savior and none on santa. We try to teach our kids the true meaning of Christmas. We have so much to be grateful for and we pray this Christmas will be a special one.

5 WEEKS!

My sister Jessica came to visit this week and she took some pictures of Emmie. She does an awesome job at taking pictures. These are just a few of them. I can't believe that Emmie is already five weeks old. She is starting to sleep six hours at night, so that is great. We really enjoy having another little girl.

EMMIE'S BLESSING (and two birthdays)

BEAUTIFUL BABY We decided to do everything in one weekend. Yesterday Shem gave Emmie a beautiful blessing and after church we celebrated my birthday (which was on Saturday) and Maddie's birthday (which is on Tuesday). I turned twenty six and Maddie will be five. It was a busy day but well worth it. We had tons of family here and it was alot of fun.

Heres some pictures of Maddie opening her presents. She was so excited to see what she was getting. She got tons of books to read, new clothes, and educational activities. Hopefully these things will keep her busy.

HALLOWEEN

HALLOWEEN was a blast! We went to the ward party. They do a chili cook off and games and then it ends with a trunk - or - treat. The kids love it, but I think Shem likes it the most. This year we had Garth from Wayne's World, two fairies, and Emmie in a halloween outfit. Our family had a great time.

Quick update

Today was the primary program at church. Maddie did an excellent job. When it was her turn she got up to the microphone, took a deep breath and said her lines with no help. Then it was onto her solo song "I love to see the Temple". I was very nervous that she would chicken out, but she did a beautiful job. After it was over everbody was telling me there was no way their four year old would ever do that. Great job Maddie - you were so cute.
Yesterday Shem and I celebrated six years! We had a wonderful day together, we went to dinner at the Manti House (reservation only restaurant) and shared gifts with each other. Most of it was spent without the kids - which does not happen very often. Overall we didn't do anything amazing, but it was perfect. Being married is great when you have a husband who is your best friend.

AMAZING HUSBAND

WHILE SHEM HAD A BREAK FROM SCHOOL HE DECIDED TO DO SOME HOME REPAIR PROJECTS. ACTUALLY I TOLD HIM WHAT I WANTED DONE AND HE DID IT (BECAUSE HE'S A GREAT HUSBAND). THE TUB IN OUR MAIN BATHROOM NEEDED A NEW WRAP AROUND IT. THE OLD ONE WAS SO NASTY AND SOMETHING HAD TO BE DONE. SO SHEM WENT TO WORK, GOT TILE FROM HIS BOSS, AND NOW IT LOOKS GREAT. OUR FRONT STEPS ALSO NEEDED WORK. THE SUPPORT LEGS WERE ROTTEN AND THEY WERE UNEVEN. I GUESS THIRTY YEARS OF FOUNDATION SETTLING WILL DO THAT. ON THIS PROJECT SHEM PUT IN NEW SUPPORTS, GOT THE TRACTOR AND LIFTED THE STAIRS UP UNTIL THEY WERE LEVEL, AND POURED CONCRETE AROUND THE BASE. THE STAIRS STILL AREN'T THE BEST LOOKING, BUT THEY ARE EVEN AND SAFE. THANKS TO AN AMAZING HUSBAND THAT WILL DO WHAT IT TAKES TO KEEP HIS WIFE HAPPY.
