4TH OF JULY

WOW! What a busy, crazy day it was. We started the day at 10:00am by heading to the Manti Park. We go there every year for games and activities during the day. It started with a little fashion show for kids dressed in patriotic clothing, then Maddie's clogging class performed, next they enjoyed finding money in the hay and then there was a candy scramble. Maddie and Shem also had a great time doing the three legged race. We had lunch at the park, took the kids on horse rides and Shem (being an awesome dad) stood in line for a half hour to get the kids snow cones. After the events were over we went home for quick naps and to get ready for family pictures. Its been a long time since there was a family picture taken on Shem's side of the family. We took tons of pictures and the kids did great considering it was four in the afternoon and 100 degrees outside. Now on to dinner for everybody at our house. After dinner it was back to Manti for the city fireworks and a huge finale! At the end of the fireworks the DJ made a special announcement for Britton (Shem's brother) to come to the stage for a special song. He sang "I Love You Baby" to his girlfriend in front of the whole city,which ended in a marriage purposal. The day was amazing and we all survived!
